Apply Now: Fully Funded Spots for CLC Ontario Schools 2026

At its meeting of September 10, 2025, the GSU National Council approved a pilot project to support member development by fully funding participation in upcoming Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) educational programs.

Through this initiative, GSU will sponsor:

  • Two women members
  • Two racialized members

to attend either the Canadian Labour Congress Women’s School or Summer School.

What’s covered?
Successful applicants will receive full funding, including:

  • Registration fees (meals and accommodation included)
  • Travel expenses
  • Salary replacement

CLC Ontario has now announced the 2026 school dates, and applications are officially open:

Women’s School: July 12–17, 2026

Summer School: July 19–24, 2026

Both programs will take place in Hamilton, Ontario.

GSU will select a total of four participants (two per program) from among the applications received. Priority will be given to Local union activists.
