Dear members of the Government Services Union;
As some of you might have heard, there have been circulating speculations surrounding the federal government's potential mandate for employees to return to the office three days a week. I understand that such rumors can evoke apprehension and uncertainty among our members.
It is imperative to underscore that, as of now, no official communication or directive has been issued by the federal government regarding a change in their current return-to-office policy. Any decisions in this regard should be made through a process of consultation, considering the perspectives and concerns of all, especially the employees.
Policies directly impacting your work conditions should be developed in collaboration and meaningful consultation with the bargaining agents.
As your National President, I want to assure you that I am committed to ensuring that the voices of GSU members are heard loud and clear in any discussions regarding work arrangements. Your concerns, priorities, and preferences will be brought to the forefront of our discussions with the employer and PSAC.
Should you have any questions or require clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
In Solidarity,
Bruce Roy
National President
Government Services Union, PSAC
