Bursaries for dependents of GSU Members

These bursaries are open to students who are entering on a full-time basis any post-secondary educational institution such as a university, college or another institute of higher learning:

• Dependents of GSU members in good standing.

Bursary recipients may not apply for an award a second time.

To qualify, you must also meet the following requirements:

• Academic standing of 70% or greater in subjects required for entrance to a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
• Proof of registration in a full-time program at a university, college or a recognized institute of higher learning.
• An essay of 800 words on the topic listed in the bursaries package.

The successful candidates will be selected by the GSU Union Recognition Standing Committee. This committee will review all applications that meet the requirements listed above that are received before the deadline. Bursaries will be awarded based on a combination of academics, financial need and essay.
